Trevor Mitchell International team make it a clean sweep at Southern Area Hairdressing Championships

Trevor Mitchell International had a clean sweep of the major trophies in the Southern Area Hairdressing Men’s Fashion Championship held at the Novotel in Southampton with Nick Martin, director in residence at TMI Romsey winning the main award, Helen Gerrard director in residence at TMI North Baddesley taking second place and Kylie Hookway director in residence at TMI Salisbury Green salon taking third.

Helen Gerrard also collected the “Southern Area Fashion Hairdresser of the Year 2012” award as well as coming second in the “Southern Area Ladies Fashion Award”.

Romsey apprentice Ellie Bentham was placed second in the “Southern Area Men’s Junior Fashion” competition.  “This demonstrates the strong ethos we have on training from the most senior director through to our newest apprentice,” claims director in charge of training Angela Everett. “This proves that if you need a modern up to the minute hair style for that special occasion or job interview all our salons can provide you with a great looking fashionable hair style. Our Chairman Trevor Mitchell established his business by competing and winning, or training others to win, all the major international events including World Championships.”

“All staff members compete in our in-house competition as well as local, regional, national and even international competitions both here and abroad.  Our strength in depth is demonstrated by the results at the Southern Area Championships 2012. We have developed a strong in-house training team and most of our staff have come through our apprenticeship scheme. Trevor Mitchell International is committed to training apprentices and we presently have ten apprentices under training and no less than seven of our senior directors, who are in residence in their own salons, started their careers as apprentices under Trevor Mitchell.”
