Many thousands of clients have passed through the doors after nearly 60 years in business

After close to 60 years in business and having made a massive contribution to the hairdressing industry at both national and international levels, Trevor Mitchell was recently awarded a silver medal in recognition of his amazing achievements by the Southern Area National Hairdressing Federation.

Trevor's historic path does closely reflect a genuine rags to riches story of some proportion. An army barber who couldn't get a job anywhere after he left the army. He persevered and gambled everything on opening his first shop in 1956 - it took many more years for him to achieve any kind of success, but Trevor eventually went from strength to strength and the rest is of course history.

Trevor still plays an active role in the Trevor Mitchell group and is often seen holding enthusiastic training sessions for his staff on demand.

Trevor says; "I am immensely proud to be recognised in this way by my own Federation. Yes, I've worked hard over the years, but I feel it only fitting to dedicate this award to my wonderful staff and the many thousands of clients that have passed through the doors of my salons over many years, as without them I'd be nothing!"

Many congratulations Trevor - don't ever retire!
